PLAN THE CAPTURE

Give every viewpoint a place.

Choose a floor and a numbered stop. Follow its coverage route, say the marker, and collect its reference shots.

Move slowly. Keep overlap.Spoken cues label footage. Measured landmarks and overlapping views establish the 3D alignment.

Routes are suggestions on the published plan. Use clear, safe aisles in the actual house. A dot is a proposed camera position, not a surveyed coordinate.

BEFORE YOU VISIT

Rehearse one room and its doorway.

Use this provisional capture recipe at home first. We need to test the actual X6 files, audio and reconstruction before relying on a whole-house visit.

01

Set up the camera

Start with standard full-sphere 8K / 30 video in good light. Avoid reframed-only output. Keep original INSV files and audio. Use a supported normal color profile for the first reconstruction test; confirm the selected processor’s requirements.

Clean both lenses. Charge batteries, check storage and record a 20-second test. Play it back with sound.

02

Make the room consistent

Set lights, shades and doors before filming. Keep people, pets, screens and fans still or out of the capture. Keep that arrangement unchanged through connected clips.

Begin near a normal viewing height, about 1.4–1.6 m if comfortable, and record the actual height. Keep the pole controlled and your body clear of the important surfaces.

03

Translate through space

Walk a slow loop and a second offset pass in clear aisles. Turning in place alone gives little new depth information. Check that cabinet edges and door frames remain sharp when you pause playback.

On level floor, add a few useful lower views if needed. Never trade safe footing for a shot. Keep objects out of the immediate lens/stitch area.

SPOKEN CHECKPOINTS

Yes. Say where the camera is.

Start recording, settle the camera over the chosen point and say “Mark” plus the ID. Hold still for about two seconds. Then move. Say the next doorway ID when the camera reaches that threshold.

“Center of a room” is approximate. A threshold midpoint is easier to identify again. Photograph durable reference corners separately and measure between them.

EXAMPLE · FIRST FLOOR
“108A. Floor one. Clip A.
Mark F1-01-D.
Camera over the front-door threshold midpoint.
Height one point five meters.
Facing into the house.”

At the next stop: “Mark F1-03. Kitchen clear aisle.”

Use the plan’s Bedroom 1 / 2 / 3 names. Keep the mic uncovered. Save the original audio; it can be removed from the marketing edit.

Doorways, stairs and clip handoffs

Doorway: begin about 1–2 m before the opening where space permits, cross its midpoint, and continue about 1–2 m into the next room. Cover it again from the other side while walking forward. A shared few seconds of nearby wall, floor and opening features is more useful than a single repeated frame.

New clip: repeat a short section of the previous clip’s last clear area. Say the new filename/group and checkpoint. Keep original clips separate. Concatenating files alone does not register a shared 3D space.

Stairs: capture each complete connection from a full lower landing to a full upper landing and into the hall. Walk facing your direction of travel, keep a hand available for the rail and do not talk while concentrating on difficult footing. Extra details can be recorded from a full landing.

Light transition: bright deck/exterior footage may need a separate exposure. Repeat the same threshold features in both clips. Avoid blown windows and motion blur; verify settings on the actual camera instead of prescribing one shutter/ISO for every room.

Still photos, measurements and the exterior

Take at least one stationary high-resolution 360 still in each clear room, two in larger rooms and on opposite sides of the kitchen island. Keep the camera still, use a timer if available and step out of view safely. Test the actual X6 photo/HDR/export mode at home.

Take ordinary sharp reference photos of finishes, hardware, ceiling junctions, windows and each doorway. Capture both sides of openings. For mirrors/glass, add oblique references and flag likely cleanup; extra footage cannot guarantee correct transparent or reflective geometry.

Record room length/width, ceiling height, opening width/height and thickness, each stair’s riser count, landing sizes and floor-to-floor height. For the bonus room, document low ceiling edges and ridge height where safely measurable. Record units and photograph the exact endpoints.

Choose several durable, distributed reference corners per floor (not all on one line). Identify them in both the video and still photos, and measure independent distances. These references help check scale and drift; they do not turn audio into camera tracking.

Exterior: make separate overlapping passes of the front, each accessible side and rear, with shared corners and door approaches. Keep within permitted accessible ground. Capture porch foundations, steps, soffits and roof edges you can actually see. Unseen upper roof surfaces need drawings or a separate appropriate capture.

Before leaving and what to give Codex

Play the start, a middle section and the end of every clip. Confirm the audio markers, full duration, sharp frames and the actual overlap at handoffs. Check for recording stops, overheating, blur, exposure changes and dirty lenses. Re-record missing connections before leaving.

Make a second copy before deleting anything. Supply originals, full-sphere exports if created, stationary photos, ordinary reference photos, the capture log and measurements. Preserve filenames and any paired/sidecar files together. Do not send only a social-media export or a reframed flat video.

What this first model establishes—and what remains open

This is a plan-based capture shell, with approximate wall traces, floor footprints, openings and marked stair zones. It provides room identities and a shared planning reference. The published drawing is dated August 28, 2026; the listing warns that dimensions/details need verification and labels its photographs as taken during construction.

Wall heights are adjustable placeholders. Exploded-floor spacing is illustrative. Ceilings, roof geometry, detailed stair construction, exact window heights and current finishes require additional sources. Bedroom-photo assignments on the source site were marked for review. No footage has been processed or aligned to this shell.

The desired result remains photorealistic free movement. Test one room plus a doorway, then a stair connection, before whole-house production. Successful alignment, mirror/glass cleanup and phone performance must be demonstrated. The shell supports the viewer; it does not automatically improve the reconstruction engine.
